TERMS & CONDITIONS
Any cancellations or changes should be notified at least 28 days prior to the event. If you fail to cancel your booking you may be charged the full fee.
Bookings should be made on the understanding that the venue is in possession of the necessary Entertainment licenses. We are not responsible if the venue is found to be in breach of the terms of their license.
If you are booking other entertainment (Singer, Comedian, Band) please consider the amount of space available and where you are going to put the disco. Speaker location is usually best if it is no greater than 10 metres either side from the position of the presenter.
Paying a deposit for your event or function is a 100% binding guarantee of contract. Non-payment of a deposit could result in the loss of your booking.
Deposits will not be refunded.
The balance of the booking fee must be paid in cash before the start of the performance. If you wish to pay by cheque we require this 14 days in advance of the booking date.
If for any unlikely reason Abstract-Entertainments cannot appear we reserve the right to arrange a suitable, Reputable alternative to appear in our place at no extra cost to the client."
We operate at all times with Public Liability Insurance cover. This provides protection for both us and your guests. Our cover is only applicable to accidents directly involving equipment or actions that form part of Abstract-Entertainments. It does not cover any accidents caused by third parties.
All Abstract-Entertainments equipment that is used is checked prior to arrival & has been fully tested for safety by a qualified electrical engineer. We will not link our equipment with third party appliances if that would involve any compromise to safety.
We reserve the right to decline any event should there not be sufficient floor space for the audio / lighting equipment to be assembled safely and which we believe may cause a hazard to either your guests or ourselves.
We need approximately 1.5 hours to set up prior to the start time & a similar time allowance at the end of the night to pack up. (This time can be reduced if access is good and we are familiar with the venue) Please ensure that we can have access to your venue within these timescales.
The client is responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by a person at your event. You may be charged for the full cost of repairs required if the damage is due to the negligence of your guests. You will be advised of any damage as soon as it is caused.
In the event of fire, flooding, public disturbance, terrorist activity or any other threat to the public, we will not be responsible for evacuating any venue or building where we are present, unless the fire regulations for the venue specify otherwise. However we will of course assist in any way possible.
We will not be responsible for any damage or loss to private or public property caused by invited or uninvited guests
We do not tolerate violent, aggressive or abusive behaviour from anyone under any circumstances. We also reserve the right to terminate our services at any time that we feel our personal safety is under threat. We do not take responsibility for ejecting any unwanted persons from any venue.
You will be advised of any problems that we may have in this respect with any of your guests.
The DJ or entertainment provider will not provide use of/or access to Public Address facilities, for a live band, cabaret act, comedian or other entertainer, unless this has been agreed and arranged beforehand, and the necessary hire fee paid in advance.
